Finding a great mentor is a tough task. Many of these advisors are often busy, hard to reach and honestly not very interested in you. Building a relationship with people you want to associate with takes time and most importantly you have to prove yourself. You can't just talk the talk; you have to execute. By doing so, people will begin to take notice and be naturally be drawn to you. As you seek out people that take an interest in you, it is important to remember this is not a one-way relationship. Figure out ways you can provide value to your mentor and the relationship will evolve into a thriving mentorship.

Celebrations are in order for Uganda’s 6 million internet users as fibre optic company Seacom, has received an approval from the Uganda Communications Commission to operate in the country. The license allows the company to operate as a network vendor, providing connectivity services to service providers like telecom companies and other related companies. Following the approval, Seacom has set up a point of presence (PoP) at the Airtel House in Kampala where it can physically connect devices to the internet and offer potential users a feel of the user experience.

In light of historic and emerging concerns on global warming and the environment, Tanzanian rural communities may be taking a step in the right direction by migrating to “greener” forms of fuel for cooking. Inhabitants in such communities are rapidly adopting the use of biogas as a strategy to reduce expenditure on the fuelling necessary for cooking and illumination. For instance, in the Karagwe District which is home to some 332,000 people, numerous households have installed biogas digesters in order to leverage readily available deposits of animal waste to produce energy in environmentally friendly ways.

Saudi Arabia’s Savola Group has appointed JP Morgan to advise on its potential purchase of a stake in Kuwait Food Co (Americana), the Jeddah-based firm said on Tuesday. Savola previously said in August it had held preliminary talks with one of Americana’s largest shareholders about buying a stake in the rival food producer. At the time, Savola did not name the shareholder, but Kuwait’s al-Kharafi family owns 67 per cent of Americana, according to Reuters data.

A China-invested Apsara International Air is going to launch flights in Cambodia later this month after it has received an air operator certificate from the Cambodia's CivilAviation, the company's chief executive officer Zhang Xiaopeng said Monday. "Apsara International Air is to commence operation of scheduled flights between Phnom Penh City and Siem Reap City by the end of this month, and an international route between Cambodia and China by the end of December 2014, utilizing an Airbus-320 aircraft," he said while receiving an air operator certificate from the Cambodia 's Civil Aviation, adding that the airlines would extend wings to Japan, South Korea and Russia within five years.
