The wedding ceremony of Suleiman Halidu-Giwa, son of Retired General Abdulmalik

Halidu-Giwa and Hussaina Saidu Mohammed, daughter of Ambassador Saidu Mohammed, was unique and classy in all ramifications. It was a beautiful climax of a friendship that started barely two years ago.

Their relationship began on a casual note when the duo met at the Occupy Nigeria rally in 2012. It was Suleiman, a graduate of Business Administration that initiated the move which has now resulted in a celebration of love.

Narrating how they met, Suleiman said, “I met my wife at the Occupy Nigeria rally in 2012. I was following her around, until she noticed that I was behind her. She turned and said hi.”

That was how their friendship kicked-off. Subsequently, they exchanged numbers and started seeing each other till they became five and six. Today, the rest is history, as we are now celebrating their love story.

The special celebration of love unfolded through three different activities in the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Abuja. It began with the Fathia which was held at the Abuja Central Mosque.

The groom, Suleiman was taken through the Islamic injunctions on marriage and love. Some Islamic clerics carefully espoused the principles of marriage according to the Holy Quuran to the admiration of the illustrious guests that came to the Mosque. With strong admonition, the Chief Imam, Ustaz Musa Mohammed told the couple to stay together in love and co-operation according to the will of Allah.
