Indian ICT firm to invest over $2m in Nigeria

Koeing Solutions Limited, an established Information and Communication Technology (ICT) firm, based in New Delhi, India, is investing $2million in Nigeria,  part of which is for  setting up a training centre.

Rohit Aggarwal, Chief Executive Officer, koeing Solutions said on his arrival , Tuesday, at the Murtala Mohammed International Airport, Lagos  that with the establishment of the training centre in Nigeria, training of students in ICT would be easier and cheaper.

Aggarwal said Koenig Solutions was one of the leading ICT training centres in India , stressing that many Nigerian companies such as financial institutions, the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority, the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation and Ministry of Defence were some of the Nigerian Government and private  companies that have consistently patronised its services over the years.

He emphasised that the training centre has over 150 certified trainers in different fields from different vendors as their trainers, while Microsoft, Oracle and Cisco are some of the world’s leading vendors who partner with the company.

Aggarwal explained that the company decided to invest in Nigeria because of the huge market and opportunities in the country and assured that with the establishment of a qualitative training centre in Nigeria , more Nigerians would be certified in ICT training while mre jobs would be created .

“So many people have asked us back home in India why we want to invest in Nigeria , but the answer is simple and obvious, on the African continent, Nigeria is the most populous and one of the most developed economies. Then, it naturally makes sense for us to invest in such a country and economy. Again, in the last six years, we have been offering training for many Nigerian companies and individuals in different fields and they have continued to patronise us.

“We believe that with our presence in Nigeria , will be closer to bigger clients, while we will also have new companies who will want to enjoy our services. Our major aim now, is to establish in Lagos , which is the business hub of the country and we will be meeting with the state government soon on this.”

Besides, the managing director of Bodair Networks, the partner company in Nigeria,  Alaba Onafowokan said that the company decided to partner with Koenig Solutions because of its qualitative training to trainees in the past 10 years.

Onafowokan said that the company is rated one of the top 100 companies in India and assured that the trainees would benefit immensely from the knowledge of different professionals in the ICT Company.
