Dr. Eng. Ossama Mohammed El Husseiny Abdel Salam – Chairman of the Arab Contractors Company since September 2012.
He is the Board Member of the followings: The Egyptian Federation for Construction and Building Contractors, the Egyptian Engineers Syndicate, the Egyptian Civil Engineering Society, the Egyptian Tunneling Society (ETS) and the International Association for Bridge and Structural Engineers.
In addition to these, he is a member of the Faculty of Engineering Council in Ain Shams & Cairo Universities.
He took courses in Tarmac International Ltd. in: King's Cross Interchange - Thames Barrier Project - England. Moreover, he got courses in programming, computer and faculty and leadership development at the Education Faculty in Zagazig University.
Prior to assuming his current position, Eng. Ossama has held several management positions including: the Deputy Dean of the Engineering Faculty for the Environmental Affairs and Community Service - Zagazig University; Head of Structural Engineering Department, Faculty of Engineering - Zagazig University.
Besides; he was the founder and board member of Pickett Engineering Consultancy and Sogera Middle East for Engineering Consultancy.
He also worked as a researcher and design engineer in: the CTICM, CFEM, Solitouch Basti in Paris – France; the Egyptian-French Company for Metal Structures and the Engineering Consultants Group - Egypt.
He designed and supervised many projects in different Arab and African countries such as: underground dams in Jizan - Saudi Arabia; wastewater treatment plant in: (Al Gabl Al Asfar – Contract no. 16 – Contract no. 19), Toshki pumping station and construction of Sheikh Zayed Canal, 3D theater and dry port at 6th of October City – Egypt; construction of power and controlling substations in: (Algeria, Morocco, Ethiopia, Mozambique, Iraq, Syria, Qatar, UAE and Libya).
He published more than 30 researches related to the structural engineering in scientific magazines and presented it on international and national conferences.
PhD with honors in science and technology facilities from the Central College of Engineering - Paris - France 1988 .
MA with honors in science and technology facilities from the Central College of Engineering - Paris - France 1985 .
B.Sc in Civil Engineering, Faculty of Engineering - Ain Shams University.
