M.I.S was founded on the 14th of June, 1989.
The school runs a three term session of 1st term, 2nd term and 3rd term with midterm breaks at the middle of each term.
MIS has a Nursery, Primary and Junior Secondary School (Year 7 - 9). MIS also has a Senior Secondary School called GOLDSPRINGS which is a full boarding school.
Our admissions are now done online. To commence your admission, collect a registration pin from the admin office of the school on the 1st of November of each year (If the 1st of November falls on a weekend pins will be given out on the following monday). The office will be open from 9am.
NURSERY TWO – PRIMARY SIX
Enquiries for registration in this category is done in the first three weeks in January every year against admission in September of that year.
JUNIOR SECONDARY SCHOOL
Junior Secondary school forms are available in the admin office all year round.
GOLDSPRING HIGH (SS1 - SS3)
Senior Secondary school forms are available in the admin office all year round.
PROGRAMME OF ACTIVITIES
Prize Giving Day
This is a prize giving day to acknowledge pupils and students who have excelled in various subjects in their respective classes..
Inter House Sports
The school holds its inter-house sports competition once in two years during which different houses compete for prizes in different games and sports.
This day is set aside for primary one pupils. On this day, pupils having previously been taught the different careers/occupations in their social studies course come together to show case different professions.
Lower Primary Games day
This day is set aside for primary two and three. It’s a day in which the two classes take part in several sporting activities.
The school embarks on educative and entertaining excursions with its pupils and students at various times.
DOWEN COLLEGE SCHOLARSHIP AWARD
The Dowen college scholarship award for best performance in the college entrance examination for 2003 and 2005 was won by two M.I.S pupils.

ADESOYE COLLEGE AWARD
The Adesoye College Scholarship for best overall candidate in 2003 entrance examination held natioinwide was won by Nkaginieme Ubani, a student of M.I.S.
MEA MATHA ELIZABETH HIGH SCHOOL
Akaraiwe Akaolisa, a student of M.I.S won the Mea Matha Elizabeth Scholarship award for 2005.
ECOBANK ZONAL ESSAY COMPETITION
The essay competition was organized by ECOBANK. Nkaginieme Obioma, an MIS student, came third.
NIGERIAN TURKISH INTERNATIONAL MATHEMATICS COMPETITION
The NITC mathematics competition is held every year and in 2005 Loolo Immanuel a pupil of M.I.S came third nationwide.
- In 2007, Bankole Adebajo placed third postion nationwide.
- In 2008, Chidebere Uguru placed second position nationwide.
ATLANTIC HALL SCHOLARSHIP AWARD
An M.I.S pupil Odita Ogechukwu won the 2006 Atlantic Hall Scholarship (overall) best performance in the college entrance exam.
NIGERIAN TURKISH INTERNATIONAL COLLEGE SCHOLARSHIP The underlisted students won scholarships into the NITC

CHARLES DALE SCHOLARSHIP
This award was won by Oshomah Agbugui in July 2008.
This educational institution understands the importance of a good library to qualitative academic work. That is why two frameworks with the inscription: “Reading is Uplifting” conspicuously hangs in the library. In pursuance of excellence, the school has a well stocked library. It also contains different kinds of encyclopedia.
Most of the books are of international authorship.
The library is open to staff and students alike: both for reading and borrowing. Library staff are available to render necessary assistance.
The school continues to increase the volume of books in its coffers.
A School will not be complete without laboratories. Pupils have the opportunity to confirm empirical ideas in our fully functional science and home economics laboratories.
The school has over one hundred staff who work in various sections of the school.
THE ADMIN SECTION
This section is headed by the school administrator who works with a team of other officers.
The name ladybird represents the nursery one arm of the school.
BUMBLE BEE SECTION
This represents the nursery two class.
UPPER NURSERY SECTION
This comprises of the Honey Bee and the Busy Bee (Nursery three and Primary one) classes.
This comprises of the primary two and three classes.
This is made up of primary four, five and six classes.
This department was specially designed to take care of special subjects. The department consists of a cream of specialists covering different specialist subjects like french.
