BCA Company Profile

In pursuance of its cardinal objectives of informing, educating and entertaining, the BCA acquired a piece of land along the Government station layout and this site today has been developed and is presently housing the corporate headquarters of the station.

With the station’s slogan as “the station born to lead” the BCA uses two channels of communication, namely Radio and Television.  The BCA radio which is on 88.1Fm came on air on 16th November, 1992, while the television arm which on  channel 47 UHF band went on air on the 14th August 1994.  Since its inception, the BCA has had the following as Director–General Senator (Elder) Anyim Ude, Elder Chukwunenye Enwere, Pastor Chuzi Iboko, Dr. Mike Alaukwu, and Chief. Chinedu Ogbuagu, while the present Director-General Mr. Ezemdi Ukeka, was appointed substantively on Febuary 2012.
The station has continued since it was established to live up to its bidding and it is blessed with men and women who have continually exhibited commitment and diligence in the discharge of their responsibilities.

In order to streamline its activities to ensure smooth operations, the corporation is made up of the following  departments, the Director-General’s office which has the corporate affairs, internal audit and transport units under it, Administration, Radio service, Television service, and commercial service

Other departments are Planning, Research & statistics, Technical service, News & current affairs, training as well as finance and supplies.
