ALP is a medium sized firm. We have offices in Lagos, Abuja and Ibadan and have been established in Nigeria for 40 years. We thrive at both advocacy and as a solicitors practice engaged in Corporate and Commercial Law in general. Our special interests lie in Oil and Gas, Telecoms, Energy, Power and Mining and we have been developing dedicated desks to these areas for some time now.
Our partners head up two main departments – Litigation and Solicitors, however due to the dynamic development of commerce and law in Nigeria, we also have a department dedicated to Strategic Planning which deals with the consideration and review of new laws and procedures and keeps clients updated and briefed on these changes in the law. The strategic planning team is also engaged in coordinating the ALP Seminar Series.
As regards advocacy, Two of our partners- Chief Akin Delano and Yele Delano have been conferred with the esteemed honour of Senior Advocate of Nigeria(SAN). We expect others within our ranks to follow suit imminently.
For their part, our Solicitors are constantly engaged in handling complex multi-national transactions either as leading counsel or in an advisory capacity. As a general rule, our approach to practice is to groom our lawyers into well-rounded competent professionals.
Many of our lawyers have had formal training in Arbitration and Conciliation. Some are MBA holders with distinctions in Finance, Oil and Telecoms. ALP's staff reflect the diversity of cultures, languages and tribes by their collective ability to speak different languages including Yoruba, Hausa, Ibo and English.
